Please congratulate me on my accomplishments thus far---Also keep on encouraging me to keep striving THANKS! Coming soon to your televisions in full name Colby Glenn Finkley and in the acting world ‘Actor Legend Colby Glenn‘. After being inspired at a young and early age by the world’s very own Steve Urkle (Family Matters), Martin Lawrence, Will Smith (Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air), Jamie Fox, etc. and today’s Tyler Perry -- Colby Glenn and his sitcom is very soon to come viewable in real life finally fit for your eyes to see. So with the very hilarious inspirations that has been mentioned above I would like to prepare the world for lots of serious laughter 30 minutes in one evening… However (if you missed it the first time); I would like for all of you to tune into FOX television station to catch the very exclusive interview between myself and Mr. Lawrence ‘Gumbo’ Morrow on GumboLive. My name is Colby Finkley and I am an Actor/Writer/Poet/Model who is known mainly in the south and I live in VA now (back in forth from D.C. and Maryland). In the south while in Louisiana I got my very first television interview on the T.V. Show GumboLive. This is where I got to talk about a few accomplishments of mine. Right now I am very patiently waiting on just a few things so that you could see more of me on your T.V.

Modeling Runways January 2002
After visiting modeling scouts in Richmond, VA I succeed on to Washington D.C. to walk the runway for the first time in front of over 10,000 people. This is when I first became a professional model, while modeling for one of the largest agencies in the world ‘Model Search America’ - www.modelsearchamerica.com.

By 2005 I went on to model in the south while living in Alabama, I joined the website of www.hollywoodauditions.com. As of today I am still featured on Hollywood Auditions website - you can view photos of me and also see some more of my goals and objectives that I am striving for. Just go to the talent search (than click on male actors and models) and on this same website you can find my profile in the following states Alabama, Georgia, or Florida (click on either state).
Writing/Book Publishing June 2007 - to present
The summer of 2007 I developed my passion to write. By September 2007 while working as a substitute teachers assistant in Norfolk, VA is when I accomplished self-publishing my first book called 30 poems in 3 days in which in the middle of it I began my true life story ‘Pursuit of A Passion’ which is the present book that I remain writing. As of today I still enjoy writing poetry, short stories, as well as this of my true life story (Pursuit of A Passion). I am very dedicated and motivated with my writing.

as well as in the community December 2007 - to present
On December 2007 I had began to really pursue more of my goals; you can say that this is the year I decided that I was going to live up to my potentials. While out in Norfolk, VA my job have become on stages. It was the first time I presented my book to the public (I announced that 30 poems in 3 days was complete and available online). Also it was the first time I done stand up poetry anywhere. From there I began to explore and travel a lot more.
January 2008 I decided to move out to Dallas, TX. While being self-managed I enjoy the pleasure of getting many opportunities to work with a lot of different agencies. I got to perform throughout hotels, the Convention Center of Dallas, TX, and lots of other places and events throughout downtown Dallas, TX. I gained a lot of confidence working with many different poets throughout Texas.
While still working to gain more exposure I traveled more. March 2008 I lived back home to Virginia only this time I began working on Richmond, VA. Thru contacts and decision I decided to get back more involved with model/fashion shows. Only this time instead of walking the runway I mixed the shows with my poetry - by doing stand up poetry to open many shows. Many agencies thought of my poetry as exciting and exclusive, so I enjoyed working with me as much as I enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of something I thought of as different.
As far as for a few communities out in Richmond, VA I spoke very positive poems in such events as the Annual STOP HIV/AIDS Festival. The purpose of the festival was to stop the spreading of HIV/AIDS throughout the community and this activity took place every year. Before leaving Richmond, VA in June 2008 this was the last program I participated in.
From there I traveled out to Lake Charles, LA and staying motivated (with my book)I immediately got known and involved with activities. The first week there I did my first poetry show while being in Lake Charles, LA. Than on July 28th I did more of my positive poetry and I spoke poems on the description of domestic violence. In this event I performed my poem called The Perfect Gentleman and got the crowd very excited as I acted this poem out on a runway during a model runway show. Also while being in Lake Charles I got my very first television appearance for my interview about my book.

GumboLive T.V. Show (FOX T.V KVHP) - August 24, 2008
August 24, 2008 I received my very first television appearances. On the television show hosted my Mr. Lawrence ‘Gumbo’ Morrow; Mr. Lawrence ‘Gumbo’ Morrow gave me the opportunity to come on to his show to participate in a very exclusive interview between he and I. In the interview I talked about my book 30 poems in 3 days as well as Pursuit of A Passion. We also discussed where I was raised, how I came up, and where I am headed. The interview ended with us discussing an upcoming event and also how I wish to be an inspiration to the future.
Since our first interview I have been invited back a few other times -- and I look forward to appear on set more in the near future. However I have already been back on the set of GumboLive for more interviews twice already.
GumboLive airs every Sunday at midnight on FOX channels 29, cable channel 9, (or KVHP) which is a local Lake Charles, LA television station and also airs in other southern states such as Texas, Mississippi, etc.
Also for a 2008 season while in Dallas, TX I participated with the Television show ‘America’s Got Talent’ which was hosted by Jerry Springer. This is where contestants compete to win one million dollars by presenting their talent (my chosen performance was stand up poetry). It was exciting to be on set.

LIFE GOAL

Similar to television shows I grew up watching and since that I have been inspired at a young age I am striving to one day have my very sitcom television show. Just like most of my inspirations I wish to get on T.V. and express a sense of humor, while being a peoples person, I also wish to continue to inspire the world to keep believing, setting goals and achieving them. Similar to people like Jamie Fox, Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, and some who I believe I relate to Tyler Perry.
As I repeat, guaranteed my show will express these qualities that of being an inspiration to the world. It will be something the whole family could gather around and get to enjoy great sense of humors as well it would be a great stress reliever after a hard days of work.
